In this lively interactive session, Bryan Johanson, COO of The Adler Group will demonstrate how Performance-based Hiring can help camp directors around the country hire top performers for camp counselor roles.  Several years ago, The Adler Group helped the YMCA create a performance-based process to hire 120,000 camp counselors in a single year, and then we trained all of their camp directors in the process. In this session, we'll give you the fundamentals of how to use this process for your camps using the four Performance-based Hiring principles.  We've used this performance-based process to hire Restaurant and Store Associates at In-N-Out Burger, Store Managers at Arby's, and Camp Counselors and CEOs at the YMCA of the USA.  The process involves defining what the person needs to do to be successful in each role, controlling your emotions and biases during the interview, and asking the right questions to uncover actual performance.  All of these techniques will be packed into our two-hour session.
